    Usually our go-to restaurants include Gringos or Lupe Tortillas, however today we stumbled upon a gem of a place called La Maria's.

    Their food was served hot, packed with flavor, and was brought out a lot quicker than the two places mentioned above. Not to mention they have great portions!

    What really made this visit special for us were our two servers Alvaro and Rafael. Not once did we have to ask for a drink to be topped off or our chips and salsa to be refilled.

    These guys were very attentive to all of our needs and really made this dining experience a great one. Paired with great personalities and friendly service,
    I'm proud to call this place our new go-to. They really made it feel like home for us.

    I cannot wait to come and visit our new friends again! I recommend you do the same!

    Ordered the tortilla soup, added a small amount of cheese on top then noticed green mold throughout the shredded cheese.  Makes me sick to think of those who ate moldy cheese in their enchiladas or quesadillas that couldn't be seen.  Alerted the waitress and she still charged full price for the soup and no offer to replace it with another item.  Would have been appropriate for a manager to stop by to apologize.   Visit was 6/11/19.

    I want to go to the good parts first.  The customer service was fair.  The waiter was attentive and they were very nice.  That's all the good stuff I have.  I am a South Texan born and raised. I grew up on Tex Mex food.  If your ever in Corpus Christi go to Las Milpas or Solis' breakfast for amazing tortillas and tacos.  So back to this review.  They cut up French fries to count as my fried breakfast potatoes.  They tasted old and bland.  They have flour tortillas so thin you can see thru them.  Their refried beans were tasteless.  This should not be a good measure of Mexican food. I will not be coming here again.

    The salsa and green sauce were awesome! The margs are perfect! The food was DELICIOUS! It was our first time and it may be our favorite place in cypress now! Highly recommend it!
